About us

My passion for firearms began at a very early age.

I can still remember sitting in my uncle’s living room as we passed around his favorite rifles and pistols—some so big I could barely hold them. There was his custom Mauser in .25-06, his trusted .22 Hornet, and others I thought were the coolest things in the world. My dad had a .300 Win Mag with what seemed like the Hubble Telescope mounted on top, and my grandpa owned an impressive collection of pump, semi-auto, and bolt-action .22s. Many of those rifles now sit securely in my own gun safe, destined to be passed down through the generations.

Fast-forward a few years, and I began my career as an aircraft mechanic in 2003—a role I still proudly hold as my 9-to-5. Over the years, my fascination with firearms and their intricate mechanics only deepened. In late 2017, I decided to turn that passion into a business. After experimenting a bit on the shop lathe, I knew it was time to take my skills to the next level.

While searching for a machinist class, I came across the Trinidad State Summer Gunsmithing Program—an ideal fit for what I wanted to learn. I’ve since completed the bulk of my certificate requirements and all the machinist courses. Gunsmithing is a specialized branch of the machinist trade, but it requires more than technical skill: everything must fit perfectly, operate smoothly, and look exceptional. A great gunsmith must also be a craftsman, woodworker, painter, and master of finishes.
