Spring Eggstravaganza!

Spring Eggstravaganza!

Join the Town of Gypsum, the Gypsum Library, and Mountain Recreation for our Spring Eggstravaganza!

Due to the popularity of and high attendance at this event we have made several changes, including the event date and time, and joined forces with both the Gypsum Library and Mountain Recreation. The event will continue to offer age-appropriate egg hunts, bouncys, crafts, the Spring Bonnet or Hat Contest (see rules below), and pictures with your favorite bunny, but these activities will take place in different locations (both inside and outside) around the Gypsum Municipal Campus.

At the Gypsum Recreation Center:
0-3 & 4-6 Year-old Egg Hunts, 5-7:00 PM - For children ages 0-3 and 4-6, there will be separate egg hunt areas in the community room inside the Gypsum Recreation Center. Entry for these hunts will be from the outside, on the West/Lundgren Lawn side of the GRC building. Children will be provided with a basket and released in groups of 10 in an area so they can easily grab filled eggs. This will start at 5 pm and continue until 7 pm or until all the eggs are gone, whichever comes first.
Bouncys - The ever-popular inflatable bouncys, along with other gym activities, will take place on the basketball court inside the Gypsum Recreation Center.

At the Town Hall/Library Park:
6-11 Year-old Egg Hunt, 6:00 PM- For children ages 6-11 we will have one "traditional" egg hunt (or better described as "dash") outside at the Town Hall/Library Park and around the exterior of the library starting at 6 pm (bring your own basket... not pillowcase, please.) Lineup will be at the south end of the park, by Lundgren Blvd.. This is typically over as soon as it starts, so don't be late.

At the Gypsum Library:
Spring Crafts, 5-7:00 PM - Various spring crafts will be available inside the Gypsum Library.
Spring Bonnet or Hat Contest, 6:30 PM judging - Enter your festive spring-inspired bonnet or hat when you arrive at the event. Entry table will be located inside the Gypsum Library, and judging will take place at 6:30 pm. Entries will be judged based on Largest (and still able to remain on your head) and Most Colorful in each of the following age categories: Youth (age 5-11) Teen (age 12-17) and Adult (ages 18 and up). Plus, one Best Overall winner (all ages combined). Each age and judging category winner receives $30 cash and the Best Overall winner receives $50 cash. Please be sure to retrieve your creation at the end event (7 PM).

At the Council Chambers in Town Hall:
Bunny Photos, 5-7:00 PM - Make some memories with photos with your favorite Bunny located inside the Council Chambersin Town Hall.
